Approaches and Apprehensions in Data Migration and Implementing the Press Clipping Content and Services in Koha: an experience from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Central Library, JNU, New Delhi

The transition and translation of opportunities are often visible in the form of challenges for libraries, in the context of financial cuts or technological advances. The functional status of libraries has been affected by the arrival of integrated open source library management systems; while administrative and technological challenges do not decrease in the same way. The current global scenario in libraries has raised the technological metamorphosis factors in the functional aspects. This paper is an effort to share the experience gained during the incorporation of press clippings and the migration of data to Koha software at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Central Library, JNU, New Delhi. The paper highlights different steps taken to complete the task.
