Abstract - The Present study is conducted to find out the citation patterns used by students and scholars of Dibrugarh University in their thesis and dissertation. Based on the results of this study,
it is hoped that certain conclusions about scholarly communications can be drawn such as form of citation used by scholars, pattern of authorship etc.
