E-Learning in Higher Education: Transforming Teaching and Learning in the Digital Era

Abstract: E-learning is one of the key concepts in modern educational processes, which have undergone dramatic changes due to its emergence. This innovation brought many changes to the educational process and made it possible for educational institutions to provide high-quality educational services. The term “e-learning” refers to an approach based on learners’ needs and requirements that uses various tools, including the Internet, multimedia, and online classrooms. E-learning in higher education is presented below, focusing on types of this phenomenon, including synchronous, asynchronous, integrated, wireless, and adaptive.
