Abstract: The present paper is based on 4483 citations from 44 PhD theses of Law submitted to the University of Burdwan during 2006-2015. The purpose of the study is to analyze the obsolescence rate of citations used in PhD theses under five sub-subjects of Law, i.e., Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Int. Property Law, Criminal Law, Law & Social Transformation in India.
