Abstract - According to the One Nation, One Subscription (ONOS) policy being implemented by the Indian government, all citizens of India should have easy access to digital academic content priced at a reasonable level, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status. In this article, we examine the significant role that library and information science professionals played in the implementation of ONOS. Specifically, we examine how these professionals contributed to the formulation of policies, collaborated with various stakeholders, negotiated licenses, managed legal and copyright issues, and coordinated library networks.....
